Capturing Idstein Taunus: A Scenic Photo Walk Adventure
Located in southern Hesse, about 40km from Frankfurt am Main, lies Idstein Taunus - one of Germany’s oldest and most charming small towns. With its exquisite half-timbered houses and cobblestone streets, Idstein is an enchanting destination, ideal for a photo walk. For someone like me, just beginning to explore architectural photography, this town was the perfect practice location.
Being a popular tourist spot, it was challenging to capture its beautiful architecture without the crowds, especially on a busy afternoon. But I found this challenge inspiring, as it pushed me to think creatively, experiment with different angles, and test my patience while waiting for that perfect shot. Often, there were only a few seconds to capture a clear shot before the frame is filled with people again.
